Thomas H. Forester, Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Forester manages the investment program of Forester Capital Management.. He is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the Funds portfolios.
Tom has a real passion for investing. In order to start the fund, he left a great position managing over $1.4 billion for Scudder Investments, investing in value at the firm's Dreman Value Advisors. He also managed assets at two prior firms, one of whose clients included Sir John Templeton. He has been involved with the securities business for over 20 years.
Mr. Forester has always admired Sir John Templeton and patterns his investment philosophy of buying bargains after both he and Warren Buffett.
Mr. Forester, CFA, holds an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and a BA degree in economics (with honors) from the University of Colorado (1981). Mr. Forester also studied at the London Business School.
Mr. Forester has appeared on CNBC and in articles in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, Fortune, Barron's, Money, SmartMoney, Washington Post, USA Today, Investment News, Investor's Business Daily and Marketwatch.
Rebecca Scheuneman, Assistant Portfolio Manager
Ms. Scheuneman assists in managing the investment program of Forester Capital Management. She is responsible for investment analysis of the stocks in the Funds portfolios.
Prior to joining Forester, Rebecca ran nearly $2bn in Large Cap assets in her 10 years at Allstate Insurance as part of a three member team. She specialized in Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, and Technology stocks, while also following Energy and Basic Materials.
Ms. Schueneman, CFA, holds an MBA from DePaul University in Finance. Rebecca has 20 years of financial analyst experience.
Jason McRae, Assistant Portfolio Manager
Mr. McRae assists in managing the investment program of Forester Capital Management. He is responsible for investment analysis.
Prior to joining Forester, Jason worked as an Energy and Utility Sector Analyst for AAM Company, an $18 billion institutional money manager. Jason was also a sell-side analyst covering Energy and Utility stocks. Jason performed quantitative and qualitative analysis and made recommendations based on fundamental and relative value analysis.
Mr. McRae, CFA, holds an MBA from DePaul University in Finance. Jason has 14 years of financial analyst experience.
Mike Ditzler, Analyst
Mr. Ditzler assists in analyzing tech companies and market strategies for Forester Capital Management. He is also the firm's back-up trader.
Prior to joining Forester, Mike was an options trader at the Pacific Options Exchange where he made markets for technology stocks including Compaq computer (now part of Hewlett Packard).
Mike holds a BS in Finance from Colorado University.
